1. No data brokering. Your data isn't sold or shared for advertising. The Lares app ships with no analytics, telemetry or ad SDKs.
2. Open by default. Keyboards run open-source firmware, flashable by you. Remap every key, or flash something else entirely.
3. Built by a human. The circuit boards are machine-assembled (the Corne partly, with the rest soldered by hand here), then every keyboard is printed, put together, flashed and tested to order in Perth. No mystery warehouse. The merch and catalogue parts come from suppliers, and say so.
4. Honest timelines. A keyboard is one to five business days on the bench, then two to seven in the post inside Australia. Supplier goods take two to four weeks. I'd rather tell you that than overstock parts.
5. Pay your way. Card through Shopify, or Bitcoin, Lightning and Monero through a self-hosted BTCPay server.
